The Space
About 1250 square feet of open space for groups up to 25. We have Wi-fi, Big screen TV, shuffleboard, a pool table, board games, dominoes, cards & poker chips, cribbage, etc
ABOUT
The Vertin Building was built in 1915 and stood as the Treasury for Morrison County for years. After surviving a fire sometime around 1970 many of the windows were boarded up and the building was subdivided, covering much of the original craftsmanship. The main floor hosted plenty of tenants over the decades, including a longstanding barber, Interiors by Bev, a financial advisor and tattoo artist, to name a few. Eventually the building was left vacant and put up for sale where it sat for years. In 2017 The Vertin was sold and the restoration began. The refinished hardwood floors still show the decades of wear. The tin ceiling that was covered for so many years was revealed and repaired; frankly, it looks great. The office walls were removed and all of the 22 shuttered windows were repaired and replaced accordingly. The Vertin has been restored with the intention of simply being a place to go; A hangout of sorts to enjoy with friends and family.
